Released on Wild Pitch Records, “School of Hard Knocks” is the only project MC Hardhead and DJ Stoneface released together. This one definitely fell into the “lost gem” territory, with pretty good jazz samples oriented beats and a lyricist who delivers interesting conscious ghetto stories using a flow reminiscent of the god MC “Rakim” at times. Don’t sleep on this forgotten treasure!
