After an impactful first album titled “To The East, Blackwards“, the group composed of Jason “Brother J” Hunter, Lumumba “Professor X” Carson, and Claude “Paradise” Gray were back as militant as ever on “Xodus: The New Testament”. The afrocentric and politically oriented band didn’t tone down the message for this second offering, in fact, they did quite the opposite. The first single titled “Fire & Earth (100% Natural)” immediately gave the answer to the critics that the X Clan were not backing down. Even if the samples used to create this album are not too original, especially for 1992 where the best beatmakers were digging deep, the lyrics and delivery easily make up for it. Tune back in and witness an important piece of black music history!
