Mixcloud’s Celebration of Curation is a two week fiesta of collaborations with key Cloudcasters across ten different locations. This year they asked some of the biggest editorial voices around to show us what their cities sound like. The list of partners includes Paul Kalkbrenner, Richie Hawtin, DJ Kentaro, Breach, Miss Kittin, Matthew Dear, Urb Mag, Rex Club, Womb Tokyo, Mixmag France and many more.
We want to call out special attention to the cloudcast that our boys Stretch & Bobbito uploaded. For many people, this was THE sound of New York. Stretch & Bobbito’s show on WKCR was THE independent late-night radio show hosted everyone who was anyone in rap throughout the 90s, and has been described as “The show that launched 1000 careers”. It’s gone but certainly not forgotten. This classic show celebrated the 20th anniversary:
