I’ve always been a fan of the unorthodox vision of R&B and way of singing that Bilal showcases on his different projects. You basically never know which directions he’s going to take. So when a track called “Sirens II“, produced by analog genius and multi-instrumentalist Adrian Younge, appeared on the web almost one year ago , I crossed my fingers that this was the next step for the jazz/soul singer and that a full album was on the way.
My wish has finally been fulfilled with the new record “In another life”, a fantastic 12 track collabo between these two brilliant artists. Features comes from Kendrick Lamar (Bilal appeared on two tracks on TPAB), Big K.R.I.T. and Kimbra while Younge handles the production of every track.
