Almighty Sion are the producers Sert One & Bolts. The Beat Generation is the result of raiding record crates and getting to work on the MPC2000XL as well as the Microkorg, Bass Guitar, Guitar and a whole bunch of other tools. The Beat Generation takes its cue from both the original Beat movement and from another eponymous movement, a more modern one tied to the evolution of hip hop production, sampling aesthetics and beat tapes.
The release came out on Original Cultures and is meant to be heard as a 30 minute piece of music, split into two parts – sides A and B. The limited edition cassette is the best way to experience it, though the digital release also includes the cassette length versions.
