The original version of Heartbreaker is lifted from Alice Russell’s new album To Dust and last week she delivered a remix from one of the most in demand remixers at the moment: Falty DL. A favorite of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Falty DL has opened for the likes of DJ Shadow, James Blake, SBTRKT, Squarepusher and has crafted remixers for The xx, Seun Kuti (son of Fela Kuti), Mount Kimbie, Scuba, Photek, and others. Falty DL’s takes Heartbreaker and moves it into 2-step influenced vibes with Alice’s vocal chops laid out cleverly throughout the track. Listen below.
