After an unsuccessful shot as a solo artist, “Everlast” linked with another Irish artist “Danny Boy” and “DJ Lethal” to form “House of Pain” in 1992 and signed a deal with Tommy Boy Records. With the help of the acclaimed beatmaker DJ Muggs, they created one of the biggest songs in Hip Hop history, a track that is now played in stadiums all around the world, the undeniable classic “Jump Around”. What some people don’t know is that Pete Rock did an amazing remix for that song, as good if not better than the original. It’s unfair to compare the rest of the LP with the first single, but the project as a whole is unequal but still enjoyable, thanks to excellent songs like “Put Your Head Out” featuring B-Real or “Shamrocks and Shenanigans”.
