2012 was a busy year for elusive roots band, 10 Ft. Ganja Plant. They released a critically acclaimed instrumental album, 10 Deadly Shots Vol. II (“their strongest set to date,” according to The Wire), and played an incredible, rare, sold out show at Boston’s Middle East Club. 2013 promises to be even better, with the band headlining not one, but two live shows this year, and releasing a rootsy new album full of vocal gems.
This new album, Skycatcher, sees 10 Ft. Ganja Plant do what they do best… infusing that old school roots groove into timeless songs and sounds. This group of reggae purists have captured the original 70’s reggae spirit in a way that few other modern reggae bands have been able to do.
Skycatcher is out on September 24th with a Boston area album release party on Sept. 20th at The Sinclair.
