Splendid first EP on Black Milk Music by Whateverest, a hip hop/jazz band from Strasbourg, France. The opener features Michigan’s dope emcee Jamall Bufford aka Buff1, while the rest of the project is instrumental. Yes, it’s jazzy and hip hop influenced, but it’s full of movement going into some surprising directions. For example, “Dark Drakkar” starts off almost as a heavy metal song, but it twists at 35 seconds into this beautiful jazz adventure, a combination we don’t see often to say the least!
