After two brilliant R&B oriented LP`s (Black Radio 1 & 2) and an important role in the making of the celebrated “To pimp a butterfly” record by Kendrick Lamar, Mr. Glasper is back to his original trio with bassist Vicente Archer and drummer Damion Reid. The new flawless album is called “Covered (The Robert Glasper Trio recorded live at Capitol Studios)”, a project somewhere between his jazz roots and the more recent R&B stuff. One of my favorite releases of the year so far.
