Hello, I’m Oonops and I’m hosting the OONOPS DROPS show on Brooklyn Radio since 2013. Next year my massive 200th episode special will drop which I’m really looking forward to and which will come out with an amazing line-up from around the globe.
I’m often get asked whether the song selections on my show reflects what I play in the club.
Let me put it this way: I play everything from art- or museum openings with laid-back sounds to peak time festival or club sets. In May I will be touring with Skeme Richards (Rock Steady Tour) through Germany.
I love heavy beats and hip hop in my sets, just as much as soul, funk, and breaks, or even playing a pure reggae and dub set. And I play vinyl only. Always.
