Oddisee released his latest album Tangible Dream with Mello Music Group last November, and the DC-born rapper and producer has been touring in promotion of the album in Europe and touching down in NYC on Thursday, June 26.
The album features guest spots from Oddisee’s group Diamond District (X.O., yU, Oddisee), Olivier St. Louis, Paolo Escobard, Ralph Real, Toine, and Trek Life. Tangible Dream showcases Oddisee’s lyrical ability, as well as his versatile production skills. With hard-hitting beats (“Killin’ Time” and “Yeah & Nah”) and smooth melodies (“Back of My Mind” and “Tomorrow Today”), the album appeals to a wide audience. “[It] is a mix-tape dedicated to the deconstruction of our traditional ideas of success & shedding light on the possibility of a sustainable rap life,” says the artist of the release.
