On Thursday, July 17 at 7:00 PM, legendary rapper and lyrical craftsman Masta Ace will present a special one-night-only concert of his new hip-hop musical, THE FALLING SEASON, at The Green Room 42 in New York City. For fans not in town, the performance will also be livestreamed!
A Hip-Hop Musical Rooted in Realness
THE FALLING SEASON is a narrative-driven, emotionally rich work set in the summer of 1988 Brooklyn. The story follows a young man whose college dreams are thrown into chaos by the gritty realities of street life: entanglements with a drug gang, a neighborhood bookie, and a young woman who may be carrying his child.
Drawing inspiration from three of Masta Ace’s most celebrated albums, this new work dives deep into themes of ambition, loyalty, and the consequences of critical choices—timeless topics that hit especially hard through the lens of hip-hop.
