Previously known as “The Upper Hand”
DJ Stikmand (facebook.com/djstikmand) started his collaboration with Brooklyn Radio back in 2012 with The Upper Hand mixtape series. The series contains 10 parts with underground, New York inspired boom bap hip hop as the red line throughout the series. DJ Stikmand decided to end the series with The Upper Hand Part 10 that contains 74 of his all-time favorite tracks in a two-hour non-stop mix.
The idea for the name The Upper Hand comes from the outro of the track ‘Revolution’ from the Edo G & Pete Rock album My Own Worst Enemy from 2004, where DJ Revolution superbly cuts up the sentence The Upper Hand. That part serves as the intro on The Upper Hand Part 1. Enjoy the show, which has more than 30.000 spins on Mixcloud!
