Recycled Funk Episode 25 (The year is 1985)

What’s happening my good people. Episode 25 of Recycled Funk is here. I hope you caught episode 24 where I highlighted & showcased music released in 1976 (my birth year). I may have to do a part 2 for that year because the list of quality & prominent songs released in ’76 is pretty extensive, but for right now I’ve decided to move up to the next decade. The year is 1985. Another incredible year for Pop music. It’s great to hear how the music and style of that year is still so prominent today. 1985 doesn’t hold any personal significance for me, I was just a little boy running around the streets of Brooklyn, but what I remember most is the music and TV shows & cartoons and movies of that year/era. NYC was pretty rough, tough and dirty back then, but the entertainment was so good, I’d like to believe it kept a lot of folks out of trouble. But anywhoo, you’re not here to read all my thoughts, sit back and enjoy this selection & mix of some of 1985’s finest musical creations, curated by yours truly.
