After more than five months away, Fresh Taste is back!
This episode is all about tracks you won't find on Spotify, Apple Music or your DSP of choice. Even when you do, chances are it's a different version. There's something refreshing about stepping away from algorithms: tuning in a radio show, digging through crates, chatting at the record shop or exploring the deeper corners of the web. That's where plenty of great music still hides.
The mix opens with a lot of reggae and dub, featuring Prince Osula, Khokhmah and a lovers rock gem from Bitty McLean & Sly & Robbie. Then it's on to Hip Hop, Beats and R&B, including three excellent remixes by one of my favorite, underrated producers, Tall Black Guy. The second half shifts gears with uptempo House and Broken Beat.
Fresh Taste may no longer be monthly, but it's not over. More digging, more music, more shows to come!
