Anything ?uestlove touches seems to have that special touch. Not too long ago, he put down a solid set at Boiler Room LA – which you can watch/listen to above. Mostly beats inspired by Dilla, The Roots, etc – what’s not to like about this one?

Stones Throw is releasing one of the best albums of the past decade as a 45 box set in January, featuring Dilla’s “seminal beat album on seven 7-inch singles … plus one extra.” Listen to “The Diff’rence,” complete with attached “Donuts Outro/Intro” which “dates back to the first, original sequence of the album,” and pre-order the box here.
With cheaper video gear and the skateboard craze not loosing steam, there’s an avalanche of semi decent skate videos released on the daily. But when Spike Jonze acts as Executive Producer and Director for the new Girl Skateboard movie “Pretty Sweet”, we were definitely first in line to see it. Check out some visuals in the above trailer, visit the Pretty Sweet website for more outtakes or cop it on iTunes straight away.
Falside presents his newest set of dynamic visuals for “White Noise,” directed by Nicolas Heller (of Ricky Shabazz and the Boom Bap Boys) in association with Los Angeles-based clothing company The Teenage Girls. “White Noise” takes on new life accompanied by Ricky’s keen cinematic eye. Anchored by intricate, cryptic imagery, the song’s circular melody transforms into something more hypnotic and psychedelic, making it a bonafide eye burner. Grab your piece of Fal’s latest tape East Toast, and keep tabs on Fal and Ricky on Twitter.

Seriously, can you stop being so awesome at everything?
Here’s the debut album by said Captain Murphy in case you missed it…

Ariya Astrobeat Arkestra are back with their second album ‘Towards Other Worlds’. The UK-based 9 piece have built on the success of their debut album, described by BBC Radio 2’s Jamie Cullum as one of his ‘sounds and albums of 2010’. Afrobeat’s inimitable rhythm and language is evident and the band also owes part of their sound to the space jazz pioneers of the 70s and the free jazz trailblazers of the 60s. ‘Towards Other Worlds’ is due out in early December – have a listen here to get a taste of what to expect!
You can pre-order the album at http://ariyaastrobeatarkestra.bandcamp.com/album/towards-other-worlds – the album will be released on CD, limited edition 10″ Vinyl and download.
