Josh Furey – Petals

We recently stumbled over the excellent music of Josh Furey – a multi-genre producer and musician based out of western Canada.

His music features elements from a broad range of genres with strong influences from modern electronica and golden era hip-hop and trip-hop artists such as Wu-Tang’s RZA and Portishead’s Geoff Barrow. With an obsessive attention to detail, Josh creates music using a healthy mixture of samples, live instruments and field recordings.

Sounds dope in the press release, but even doper in real life! Check out his newest release Petals:

If you dig, then also check his award winning debut album Archaeology from 2008  and his label Nocturne Records.
