After reaching great success with tracks like “Doowutchyalike” and “The Humpty Dance“, Shock G & his band Digital Underground dropped another album heavily influenced by the Parliament-Funkadelic crew. This influence can be felt in the samples used to create most of the beats, the topic of the lyrics or even a feature from the man himself, George Clinton. You’ll also find an early 2Pac verse on the opener “The DFLO Shuttle”, since the future legend was part of the DU band as a backup dancer and occasional MC. One highlight of the LP is the second single “No Nose Job”, a witty attack on the cosmetic and plastic surgery industry by Shock alter ego “Humpty Hump”.
