After a critically acclaimed album titled “Holy Intellect” and the successful single “Rock Dis Funky Joint”, PRT we’re back with a new full length for 1991. On “Pure Poverty”, released via Profile Records, Wise Intelligent, Culture Freedom and Father Shaheed keep a similar formula of conscious lyrics on top of funky beats. Even if The LP is unequal, especially on the production side, there’s still some magic sprinkled around like the forgotten classic single “Easy Star”. A project that deserved to be re-discovered!
