After multiple appearances on other rappers’ albums and on a compilation for First Priority, “Positive K” released “The Skills Dat Pay Da Bills” on Island Records, the debut and only LP to date by the Bronx emcee. This is a strong 16 track effort, displaying the multiple facets of Pos K, the player, the slick lyricist and the battle rapper. Sadly, Positive K often falls into the “One Hit Wonder” category, because of the smash single “I Got A Man”, going as high as the 14th spot on the pop charts. However, this artist and this record have a lot more to give than a single track, and the best way to realize that is to jump back in and listen to this forgotten classic!
