An original pioneer of the mixtape movement, Kid Capri first album was released on the legendary Cold Chillin’ label. Even though it wasn’t a major crossover success at the time, the lead single “Apollo” was getting lots of plays and it became a classic in it’s own right. The production was handled by Biz Markie and his funky cousin Cutmaster Cool V. The combination of Kid Capri energetic flow with the heavy loads of funk, soul and jazz samples makes the whole listening a very enjoyable ride.
