Kind of a forgotten Hip Hop band from the early 90’s, the Double XX Posse came out with their first album “Put Ya Boots On” in 1992 on Big Beat Records, a subsidiary of Atlantic. The biggest hit from the Jersey collective came with the excellent single “Not Gonna Be Able To Do It”, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles. The whole LP is a good East Coast rap affair that deserves a few spins.
MC Sugar Ray and his Posse released another album in 1995 titled “Ruff, Rugged & Raw” before disappearing from the music world.
