#30thAnniversary – Kris Kross “Totally Krossed Out”

30 years ago, spring time was booming under a new craze… Kris Kross just released their first album and the single “Jump” exploded and peaked at the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks. Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, aged 12 and 13 years old at the time, came hard on the scene with their heavy rhyming skills and signature fashion style of wearing their clothes backwards. Avoiding kiddie acts clichés, the project had four massively successful singles and ended up selling more than four millions copies. A young Jermaine Dupri discovered them and produced the whole thing, giving the duo a strong sound that perfectly combined the duo’s energy. Jump back to this special moment in time!
